Development, Research and Outreach

The global agenda for sustainable development includes alleviating poverty and hunger through sustainable agriculture and food systems. Intensive crop- and livestock-based farming systems negatively impact local culture and the environment. The negative impacts are classified into environmental, social, economic, and health implications. Aware of technical, geographic, and social indicators and considering training, policy changes, costs and benefits evaluation and innovations in smallholder farming production models, we align our research, development and outreach agenda to the dynamic global paradigm shifts.
